Stadium used a leadoff home run to get a run in the fourth.
With one out in the fourth Haley Dusek worked the count full and then walked.  After a second out Dusek stole second.  The shortstop was able to knock down Alex DeStephano’s single which moved Dusek to third.  The third baseman thought Dusek was going to slide into third.  But there was no throw, and Dusek kept going.  Dusek bumped into the third baseman as she rounded third.  Even though the ball beat Dusek to the plate, she was awarded home due to interference on the third baseman.  Sarah Sorensen followed with a single to right which made the run earned.
Kelly McLaughlin singled down the third base line to open the seventh.  Alexa Ostrander put down a perfect sacrifice bunt to move McLaughlin to second.  McLaughlin took third on a wild pitch.  After a second out Courtney Schwan fell behind in the count 1-2.  She then singled into left to score McLaughlin with the winning run.
Good defensive plays were made by Alex DeStephano who charged in to field a bunt and fired to Haley Dusek covering first for the first out in the 3rd; by Haley Dusek who went way to her right to field a grounder and threw to Alex DeStephano who made a nice stretch for the second out in the 3rd; by Celine Woo who short hopped a grounder to third and threw the batter out at first for the first out in the 4th; by Alex DeStephano who caught a line drive for the second out in the 4th; by Courtney Schwan who threw to Alexa Ostrander (KEY PLAY OF THE GAME) who was covering third to catch the runner trying a delayed steal for the first out in the 5th; by Abby McDonald who chased down a wild third strike and fired a seed to first to get the second out in the 7th; and by Celine Woo who went to her left to field a grounder and threw the batter out at first to end the 7th.
Courtney Schwan started and again went the distance for the win.  She struck out 9 including the side in order in the second and walked none.  She gave up 6 hits and just one run.
