Haley Dusek walked with two out in the first. Courtney Schwan ripped a single to left to
move Dusek to second. Kylie Ostrander

singled to left to score Dusek.
Sarah Sorensen singled to right to open the second. After an out Rachel Sorensen grounded out
pitcher to first to move her sister Sarah to second. Celine Woo jumped on the first pitch and
singled to left to score Sarah Sorensen.
South Kitsap used three singles to get a run in the second.
Alexa Ostrander was safe on an error by the first baseman to
open the third. After a line drive out,
Ostrander took second on a wild pitch.
Courtney Schwan dropped a single into left to move Ostrander to
third. Kylie Ostrander courtesy ran for
Schwan and stole second. Alex DeStephano
singled to right to score Alexa Ostrander and to move Kylie Ostrander to
third. DeStephano alertly took second on
the throw to the plate. Sarah Sorensen
hit a sacrifice fly to right center to score Kylie Ostrander and to move
DeStephano to third. Becca Sorensen then
jumped on the first pitch and singled to left to score DeStephano.
Alexis Mendez pinch hit and dropped a single behind first base
to open the seventh. Haley Dusek put
down a perfect bunt and beat it out for a single to move Mendez to second. Courtney Schwan hit a grounder that eluded
the shortstop and allowed Mendez to score.
South Kitsap used a double, an infield out, and a single to get
a run in the seventh.
Good defensive plays were made by Abby McDonald who caught a
foul pop-up bunt for the first out in the 1st; by Haley Dusek who with two on
caught a line drive and threw to Alexa Ostrander to double the lead runner off
of second in the 2nd; by Alex DeStephano who with two on charged a sacrifice
bunt and threw to Haley Dusek covering first for the second out in the 3rd; by
Kelly McLaughlin who made a nice running catch in left center to end the 4th;
by Courtney Schwan who went back and reached up to get a high chopper and threw
the batter out at first for the second out in the 5th; and by Sarah Sorensen
who tracked down a line drive in right center for the first out in the
6th.
Courtney Schwan started and again went the distance for the
win. She struck out 7 including the
third and fourth batters with a runner on third in the first inning. She walked only one.
