      Kelly McLaughlin singled to left to open the game.  Alexa Ostrander put down a nice sacrifice bunt to move McLaughlin to second.  After a second out Courtney Schwan crushed an 0-1 pitch into left center for a home run scoring McLaughlin before her.

      Becca Sorensen singled to right with one out in the second.  Sorensen took third when the ball got by the right fielder.  Celine Woo grounded to third to score Becca Sorensen.  When the throw to first was wide, Woo was safe at first.  Rachel Sorensen singled to center to move Woo to second.  Kelly McLaughlin lined a single to right center to score Woo and to move Sorensen to third.  Alexa Ostrander grounded to short to score Rachel Sorensen.

      Courtney Schwan singled to left to open the third.  Alexis Mendez courtesy ran for Schwan.  Alex DeStephano singled to center to move Mendez to second.  Sarah Sorensen grounded out second to first to move the runners to third and second.  Becca Sorensen singled to right to score Mendez.

      Kentwood used a single, a stolen base, a single, and an infield out to get a run in the fourth.

      Rachel Sorensen singled infield to open the sixth.  Kelly McLaughlin was hit in the helmet by a pitch to move Sorensen to second.  Sorensen took third when the catcher threw the ball into right field on a pickoff attempt at first.  After an out Haley Dusek doubled to left center to score Rachel Sorensen.

      Good defensive plays were made by Alexa Ostrander who played the hop perfectly and threw to Alex DeStephano who dug the ball out of the dirt to get the first out in the 1st; by Alex DeStephano who charged a topped ball and threw to Haley Dusek covering first to end the 1st; by Celine Woo who charged a bunt and threw the batter out for the first out in the 2nd; by Courtney Schwan who fielded a come backer and threw wide of third where Celine Woo recovered and threw wide of home where Abby McDonald quickly recovered the ball and flipped to Courtney Schwan (who alertly covered home) for the second out in the 2nd; by Kelly McLaughlin who chased down a triple and relayed to Haley Dusek who relayed to Alex DeStephano who threw to Abby McDonald who blocked the plate and tagged the batter (trying for a home run) out to end the 3rd; by Abby McDonald who blocked a third strike in the dirt and threw the batter out for the first out in the 5th; by Haley Dusek who went way to her right and threw to Alex DeStephano who fielded the ball on one hop for the second out in the 6th; and by Sarah Sorensen who caught a fly ball in right to end the game.

      Courtney Schwan started and again went the distance for the win.  She struck out 2 and more importantly walked none.  She threw a mere 74 pitches in the five-hit win.

      This win guaranteed that the Lions would go to State.

      With one out in the third Haley Dusek crushed the first pitch into right center and circled the bases for a home run before the relay even got back to the infield.

      Spanaway Lake used a single, a wild pitch, and a single to get a run in the fourth.

      With two out in the sixth Rachel Sorensen was hit by a pitch.  Kelly McLaughlin shot the first pitch into left for a single to move Sorensen to second.  When the ball got by the left fielder, Sorensen scored and McLaughlin slid into third.  When the relay to third was wild, McLaughlin also scored.  Alexa Ostrander singled to right and took second on a wild pitch.  Haley Dusek beat out an infield single to move Ostrander to third.  When the throw to first was wild, Ostrander scored.

      Good defensive plays were made by Alexa Ostrander who caught a line drive for the first out in the 1st; by Haley Dusek who fielded a high chopper and threw the batter out at first to end the 2nd; by Haley Dusek who fielded another high chopper and threw the batter out for the first out in the 3rd; by Rachel Barcena who fielded a dribbler to third and gunned the batter out for the second out in the 5th; by Abby McDonald who pounced on a topper up the third base line and threw the batter out to end the 5th; by Kelly McLaughlin who used every inch of her height to reach up and catch a line drive to center for the second out in the 6th; by Alexa Ostrander who fielded a grounder and fed to Haley Dusek covering second to end the 6th; and by Alex DeStephano who fielded a sacrifice bunt and threw to Haley Dusek covering first for the first out in the 7th.

      Courtney Schwan started and again went the distance for the win.  She struck out 5 and walked only one.  She threw just 90 pitches in the two-hit win.  She also helped herself defensively by assisting on all three put outs in the fourth.

      Central Kitsap used an infield single, a triple, and a single to get two runs in the first.

      Kelly McLaughlin beat out an infield single to open the first.  Alexa Ostrander put down a sacrifice bunt to move McLaughlin to second.  After a second out Courtney Schwan singled to left to score McLaughlin.

      Central Kitsap used an off field double, a bunt single, a force out at second, a stolen base, and a single to get a run in the second.

      With two out in the fifth Haley Dusek beat out a single to short.  Courtney Schwan singled to right center to move Dusek to third.  Kylie Ostrander courtesy ran for Schwan.  Alex DeStephano was intentionally walked to load the bases.  Sarah Sorensen ruined the intentional-walk strategy by ramming a single to left to score Dusek and Ostrander.

      Alexis Mendez pinch hit to open the sixth and singled to center.  Celine Woo put down a sacrifice bunt to move Mendez to second.  After a second out Alexa Ostrander singled to right to score Mendez who slid around the catcher.  Haley Dusek singled to right center to move Ostrander to third.  Dusek alertly took second on the throw to third.  Courtney Schwan was intentionally walked to load the bases.  Kylie Ostrander courtesy ran for Schwan.  Alex DeStephano ruined the intentional-walk strategy by doubling down the left field line to score Alexa Ostrander and Dusek.

      Good defensive plays were made by Sarah Sorensen who with runners on third and second charged a single to right and forced the runner from second to hold at third in the 2nd; by Courtney Schwan who after a stolen base struck the batter out for the second out in the 2nd; by Abby McDonald who took a throw from Courtney Schwan and tagged the runner out at home to end the 2nd; by Alexa Ostrander who went to her right and fired to Alex DeStephano who stretched out and caught the ball in the webbing of her glove to end the 3rd; by Sarah Sorensen who made a nice catch in right for the second out in the 4^th and we got the third out when the runner from third left early on the play; by Alexa Ostrander who fielded a grounder and fed to Haley Dusek to get the lead runner for the second out in the 5th; and by the Ostrander-Dusek combination again for the first out in the 7th. 

      Courtney Schwan started and again went the distance for the win.  She struck out 4 (which gives her 101 for the season) and walked none.  After giving up 7 hits to the first 11 batters she settled down and retired 18 of the remaining 22 batters.  She also helped herself with 6 assists.

      South Kitsap used three singles, an infield out, and an error to get two runs in the third.

      Becca Sorensen beat out a bunt single to open the third.  After an out Celine Woo singled to right to move Sorensen to third.  After a second out Kelly McLaughlin out ran an infield single to score Sorensen.

      Haley Dusek singled to open the fourth.  Courtney Swan lined out to the first baseman.  Haley Dusek alertly stayed at first.  Alex DeStephano doubled to center to score Dusek.

      South Kitsap used a single, a bloop double into short left, and a two out single to get two runs in the fifth.

      South Kitsap used a single, a triple, and a two-out infield single to get two runs in the sixth.

      South Kitsap used a triple, a double, and a single to get two runs in the seventh.

      Alexis Mendez pinch hit and singled to center to open the seventh.  Mendez took second on a wild pitch.  Becca Sorensen beat out an infield single to third to move Mendez to third.  Kylie Ostrander pinch hit and beat out a bunt single to load the bases.  Celine Woo beat out an infield single to score Mendez.  Kelly McLaughlin singled to left to score both Sorensen and Ostrander and to move Woo to second.  Alexa Ostrander’s grounder went through the shortstop to score Woo and to move McLaughlin to third.  Ostrander alertly took second on the throw home.  Haley Dusek beat out an infield single to load the bases.  After an out Alex DeStephano singled to score McLaughlin.  Alexis Mendez (hitting for the second time in the inning) ripped a single to left to score Ostrander with the tying run.  Becca Sorensen (on an 0-1 pitch) put down a perfect squeeze bunt for a single to score Dusek with the winning run.

      Good defensive plays were made by Alexa Ostrander who went to her right to field a grounder and fired to Alex DeStephano at first who scooped the ball out of the dirt to end the 2nd and save a run; by Rachel Sorensen who raced all the way from left to catch a sinking fly ball in shallow center to end the 3rd and save two runs; by Celine Woo who charged a bunt and fired to Haley Dusek covering first to end the 5th; by Sarah Sorensen who came in to make a nice running catch in right to end the 6th; and by Alexa Ostrander who fielded a grounder with runners on third and second and threw the batter out at first to end the 7th. 

      Courtney Schwan started and again went the distance for the win.  She struck out 6 and walked none.  This was her tenth win of the season.
